Contributions

Q. What organizations will you be supporting and how?
A. In 2026, Art Love Friend, LLC will support the San Francisco Mime Troupe. A quarterly report will be shared via YouTube and the Art Love Friend blog, including payment receipts.

Art Love Friend makes no claim of collaboration with the San Francisco Mime Troupe. Although there is a wish is to do something with them in the future, the goal right now is to openly support their work through transparent financial contributions and build a trusting relationship.

From the San Francisco Mime Troupe website: https://www.sfmt.org/about-us

The mission of the San Francisco Mime Troupe is to create and produce theater that presents a working-class analysis of the events that shape our society, exposes social and economic injustice, demands revolutionary change on behalf of working people, and presents this analysis to the broadest possible audience with artistry and humor.
The collective exists not only to create activist art, but also to embody ideals of community governance: a democratically run, multi-ethnic, multi-generational, multi-cultural, gender-balanced theater of social justice.

Q. Why are you supporting the San Francisco Mime Troupe?
A. In this tumultuous time, art and education that teach community collaboration and effective communication are essential. Art Love Friend, LLC is proud to support the San Francisco Mime Troupe because their work embodies ideals of community governance—a democratically run, multi-ethnic, multi-generational, multi-cultural, gender-balanced theater of social justice. Their use of humor and artistry, their educational programs for youth, and their consistent commitment to speaking out for justice deeply inspire support. Committing to donate 50% of business profits can feel daunting, but the possibility that Art Love Friend can both thrive and meaningfully support community-centered work is deeply motivating and reflects the heart of why Art Love Friend, LLC exists.

Q. How are “profits” calculated?
A. Art Love Friend, LLC defines profits as funds remaining after monthly operating expenses are covered. Current average operating costs are approximately $600 per month. Any funds generated above $600 in a given month are considered surplus. 50% of that surplus is set aside for charitable donations and distributed quarterly.

Q. What is your donation distribution schedule?
A. Donations are distributed quarterly as follows:

  • April 15 — Q1 (January 1–March 31)
  • July 15 — Q2 (April 1–June 30)
  • October 15 — Q3 (July 1–September 30)
  • January 15 — Q4 (October 1–December 31 of the prior year)
