Q. What does Earth Lab SF do?
A. From the Earth Lab Website:
"E.A.R.T.H. Lab SF's purpose is to educate participants and audiences by creating new forms of environmental art while engaging theoretically and scientifically informed practices that allow humans to envision nature with fresh eyes. In particular, E.A.R.T.H. Lab SF invites communities interested in our research to incorporate and create inclusive, diverse, and imaginative possibilities for sustainable living. E.A.R.T.H. Lab SF questions and expands prevailing notions of environmental art, inviting new audiences to learn and participate.
We invite collaboration and engagement in a wide variety of ways. Educators, we can bring our films, performances, and lectures to your classes, or propose a collaborative project. Students, we can offer great opportunities for internships, art experiences, and networking. Scientists and academics can create win-win collaborations for all of us and the Earth. Environmentalists let's brainstorm. Makers we need you! Non-artists are more than welcome to join the E.A.R.T.H. Lab. Our specialty is working in collaboration with all kinds of people because we love and practice "radical inclusion."
